Singer JAY B has hinted at a full group comeback for GOT7 during his solo concert, promising an even more special 2025.
On the 7th, JAY B successfully held his 2024-2025 solo concert 'TAPE: RE LOAD' at KBS Arena in Gangseo-gu, Seoul. Along with this, he made a surprise announcement as the leader of GOT7 about the group's full album, giving fans an unforgettable end to the year. GOT7 is currently preparing for a new album release scheduled for January next year, although concert plans are still undecided.
Having successfully released his first solo studio album 'Archive 1: [Road Runner]' last month, JAY B opened the tour with this concert in Seoul, embarking on a more active global journey. His unique energy and new mindset, fitting the title 'TAPE: RE LOAD', were showcased throughout the performance with various well-made live performances, earning enthusiastic cheers from fans.
With GOT7 members Mark and Youngjae also present to support their leader JAY B, he surprised fans during the encore by performing GOT7 songs and announcing, "I got permission from the members to say this. I worked hard to make this happen, so I thought it would be okay to share this." He added, "GOT7 will be making a full group comeback in January. We are working hard on the concert, but nothing has been decided yet," which drew a warm welcome from the audience.
Opening with the message 'PRESENT' for the fans, JAY B greeted, "I said I would come in the fall, but I ended up coming when the first snow fell. I'm sorry for making you wait so long. I'm glad so many of you came today. I'm excited and nervous to be on stage."
He then closely interacted with fans throughout the venue from the beginning of the concert with performances of 'FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH', 'B.T.W', and 'THE WAY WE ARE'. The passionate stage allowed fans to experience not only JAY B's vocals but also his dancing.
In particular, the new songs from his first studio album filled the concert with freshness. JAY B performed a total of 11 songs, including 'PRESENT', which is included only in the CD version, 'IF YOU', 'TAKE IT EASY', 'CRASH', 'PREVIEW', '°C (Temperature)', 'RIGHT BACK', and 'INSIDE'. Many of these performances were revealed to fans for the first time during this concert, generating a significant response. He also shared, "Each song has different details in vocal tone and mix direction. I hope you enjoy it."
Additionally, stages featuring 'SWITCH IT UP', 'AM PM', and 'HOLYDAY' captivated fans, showcasing JAY B's musical style and strengths. During the encore, he performed over 8 songs in a relaxed atmosphere, delivering a total of more than 30 songs in a perfect live performance. His outfit, which included a jacket that exposed his waist, and his bold shirt removal and breakdancing moves caught the audience's attention.
Finally, JAY B expressed, "Thanks to you all, I feel like I've had an unforgettable 2024. Starting from today, I am working hard to meet you more often next year. I hope today becomes a precious memory for you as well."
After successfully completing music broadcast activities for his first studio album and his solo concert, JAY B continues to engage in active music and performance activities. JAY B will hold his 2024-2025 solo concert 'TAPE: RE LOAD' at IMPACT ARENA in Bangkok, Thailand, on January 11 and 12 next year.
