GOT7 member and actor Park Jin-young (30) has been cast in the new tvN drama '100 Days of Lies'.
According to reports from Maeil Business Star Today on the 29th, Park Jin-young will appear as the male lead in the new weekend drama '100 Days of Lies', which is set to air in the first half of next year.
'100 Days of Lies' tells the story of the best pickpocket in Gyeongseong who, through a deal with the independence army, disguises himself to get a job at the Governor-General of Korea and becomes a spy.
Park Jin-young is expected to share the screen with actress Kim Yoo-jung, who is known to be the female lead, as well as Kim Hyun-joo.
The drama is a collaboration between director Yoo In-sik, known for 'Romantic Doctor Kim Sa-bu' (SBS) and 'Extraordinary Attorney Woo' (ENA), and writer Ryu Bo-ri, who has penned 'Do You Like Brahms?' and 'Trolley' (both SBS).
Park Jin-young made his acting debut in the 2012 KBS2 drama 'Dream High 2', and four months later, in May of that year, he debuted in the music industry as a member of GOT7. Since then, he has consistently balanced his singing and acting careers, building his skills.
Continuing to appear in popular dramas such as 'The Devil Judge' (tvN) and 'Yumi's Cells' (Tving), he has been actively working since his military discharge last November, with projects like 'Witch' (Channel A) and the film 'High Five'. Notably, he gained significant popularity with his performance in the recently concluded tvN weekend drama 'Unknown Seoul', which ended on the 29th of last month, showcasing his improved acting skills. He is currently in the midst of filming his next project 'Shining' (JTBC).
