Singer and actress IU has won the Best Actress award.
On the afternoon of the 2nd, the 'Seoul Drama Awards 2025' was held at KBS Hall in Yeouido. The ceremony was hosted by Jang Do-yeon and Ok Taec-yeon, and was broadcast live on the official YouTube channel of the Seoul Drama Awards.
On this day, IU received the Best Actress award for her role in the Netflix drama 'My Aesoon'.
She expressed her gratitude, saying, "Thank you to the viewers who have loved me. I am grateful to the director, the writers, the production team, and the staff. It was an honor to be with all my seniors, including Kim Yong-rim, Na Moon-hee, and Yeom Hye-ran, as well as my colleagues."
She added, "I always have trouble finding my direction, but I am thankful to my beloved fans, Uaena, for not letting me get lost."
IU also thanked her family, saying, "Lastly, to my Aesoon and Geum-myung. I love my mom, and although my family is not like Kwan-sik, I love my cute and lovely dad and grandmother very much."
Finally, she said, "Being able to be with 'My Aesoon' will be a source of pride for me in the future, and it will continue to be an honor. Thank you all."
Meanwhile, the 'Seoul Drama Awards' is an international drama festival that awards winners based on evaluations of dramas from around the world. This year, winners were selected from a total of 276 entries and 409 participants from 50 countries worldwide.
