Former SBS announcer and broadcaster Han Seong-joo shared her recent status after a 14-year hiatus, revealing a photo alongside figure skating queen Kim Yuna.
Recently, Han posted on her social media, “Proud of athlete Kim Yuna, with my junior~~ She is always amazing, admirable, and makes me proud~~” along with a photo.
In the released photo, Han Seong-joo is attending the 120th anniversary event of her alma mater, Korea University, posing affectionately with Kim Yuna. Dressed in a black jacket, Han captivated attention with her youthful beauty and bright smile, while Kim Yuna also greeted with a neat silver jacket and a cheerful smile.
In particular, when a netizen mentioned the past incident of leaked personal videos, saying “Thank you for enduring. Stay strong,” Han responded, “Thank you for your words. Sometimes, ignoring and passing by can also be another form of support,” drawing attention.
Han Seong-joo, who was crowned Miss Korea in 1994, joined SBS as a public announcer in 1996 and worked across news, entertainment, and current affairs programs. She transitioned to freelance in 2000 but halted her broadcasting activities in 2011 due to personal controversies.
Even after retirement, Kim Yuna continues to uphold her reputation as the ‘Queen of Figure Skating’ through various activities, including serving as a goodwill ambassador for the international relief organization UNICEF and joining the All-Time Legends Club.
