Actor Ahn Ji-ho shared his thoughts on the conclusion of 'Shopping'.
Ahn Ji-ho played the role of Joo-an, who possesses sharp senses and excellent hand skills, in the ENA Monday-Tuesday drama 'Shopping' (written by Ahn So-jung, directed by Oh Gi-hwan), which concludes on the 12th. He actively protected the children in times of crisis and also showed a desire for revenge against his adoptive father, Yoon Se-hoon (played by Song Young-kyu), who abandoned him.
Ahn Ji-ho said, "I am really grateful to the viewers who have loved 'Shopping' and Joo-an until now. There were many difficult parts while acting as Joo-an, but I think I enjoyed the filming. I will continue to work hard to greet you with various works in the future."
In the latter part of the drama, Joo-an confronts the parents who abandoned him and faces the emotions and wounds he has been avoiding. Lines like "Even after taking revenge, my heart hurts so much" and "I feel like I've been abandoned again" conveyed the character's complex psychology.
Additionally, Joo-an, who skillfully handles various technologies such as eavesdropping and hacking, stepped up as a problem solver in every crisis, contributing to conflict resolution. He proved his presence by demonstrating the resourcefulness of a 'jack-of-all-trades' and chose to take direct action against the adults who hurt him, depicting solid growth.
Ahn Ji-ho showcased an expanded acting spectrum through 'Shopping'. With a heartfelt performance that left a mark of his own color, there is anticipation for what kind of works and characters he will transform into in the future.
Meanwhile, the ENA Monday-Tuesday drama 'Shopping', featuring Ahn Ji-ho, will air its 7th episode on the 11th and the final episode at 10 PM on the 12th, and it can also be found exclusively on OTT via TVING.
