As the group NewJeans has paused their independent activities, member Daniel shared an update with fans through a handwritten letter on his birthday.

On the 30th, Daniel expressed his gratitude to fans who congratulated him on his birthday via the SNS account managed by the members.

Daniel began, "Bunnies (the fandom name), are you doing well? I miss you so much that I wanted to convey my feelings through this letter. I have so much to say. I read all the birthday letters you sent. I felt so many thoughts and emotions."

He continued, "I realized once again how powerful each small word can be, how precious a single sentence can be, how beautiful writing can resonate with the heart, and above all, how strong and warm-hearted Bunnies are."

Daniel added, "I felt the sincerity of Bunnies in every letter. Every time I read the letters, I feel my soul healing more and more. I realized that Bunnies are already holding my hand and truly believing in me." He jokingly mentioned that the letters from Bunnies are so precious that they should be made into a book.

Daniel concluded, "Bunnies are truly special and wonderful people. Lovely Bunnies, let's remember that we are not alone and hope to be each other's comfort when needed. Thank you for being my support in the toughest moments, for always shining a light at the end of the tunnel, and most importantly, for constantly believing in me and our members. Just meeting Bunnies makes me the luckiest person in the world."

NewJeans held an emergency press conference last November, announcing the termination of their exclusive contract with Ador and began their independent activities. They also announced their new group name, 'NJZ'.

In response, Ador filed a request for a provisional injunction to preserve the agency's status and prohibit the signing of advertising contracts in court. The court made a ruling on this matter in March. The court determined that the NewJeans members should not engage in entertainment activities on their own or through a third party without Ador's prior approval or consent. The members submitted an objection on the same day, but it was also dismissed. They are currently in the process of appealing.

On the 23rd of last month, the members announced their suspension of activities on stage at ComplexCon held at AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong, stating, "We decided to temporarily halt all activities in respect of the court's decision. We know better than anyone that this choice will not be easy, but it is what protects us."

NewJeans had been operating an SNS account named after NJZ, but following the court's ruling, they deleted the name and set up a new account name by combining the members' initials.
