Actress Bae Doona (46) cited 'exercise' as her secret to body management and 'deposit' as her secret to weight loss.

On the 30th, Bae Doona appeared on the YouTube channel 'Vivo TV' ahead of the release of her new film 'Virus' and had an honest and cheerful conversation with Song Eun-i and Kim Sook.

Kim Sook asked Bae Doona, "How do you maintain your weight?" after sharing her story of gaining 20kg due to carelessness.

Bae Doona responded, "I think the power of deposit is significant," which brought laughter. She continued, "Honestly, I don't really know why I need to lose weight. If it's for health, then I should lose it. But for people like us who work in this industry, there are times when we have to fit our bodies to the outfits, so we inevitably have to keep our weight at a standard."

She added, "To maintain this state, I do cardio in the morning and evening. I exercise almost every day, 5-6 days a week. I don't do it very intensely. But when there's a photoshoot or a deposit, I lose about 2kg at that time."

When Kim Sook expressed surprise, saying, "Is the difference only 2kg (before and after the deposit)?" Bae Doona replied, "Yes. Losing 2kg is really hard."

Kim Sook then said, "That much can fluctuate in a day," to which Bae Doona shot back, "How much do you eat?" causing another round of laughter.

The film 'Virus' (written and directed by Kang Yi-kwan), which will be released on May 7, is a cheeky hot pink comedy about translator Ok Taek-seon (Bae Doona), who is on the verge of losing her romantic cells, going on a disastrous blind date with Nam Soo-pil (Son Seok-koo), a researcher at a sexual medical foundation. It is based on the novel 'Youth Extreme Period' by writer Lee Ji-min, published in 2010.
