Broadcaster Lee Sang-min (51), who announced his remarriage, shared his thoughts through a handwritten letter.
On the 30th, Lee Sang-min posted a handwritten letter on his SNS, saying, "You must have been very surprised by this sudden news. I am also very nervous to share this news," and announced his marriage, stating, "I have found someone I love very much. I plan to move forward with her in the second act of my life."
He expressed his affection for his fiancée, saying, "She is someone who makes me want to protect her through any hardship, and I believe that with her, I can be happy for a lifetime."
He continued, "Since she is a precious person I found later in life, I have been very cautious, which is why I have delayed informing those around me. You may be surprised, but I would be really grateful if you could celebrate and bless us," adding, "I will live with more responsibility every moment to repay those who continue to support and encourage me."
Lee Sang-min has been in a good relationship with his partner until recently and has promised to tie the knot, carefully preparing for the wedding. It is reported that the wedding is scheduled for around early summer, which is earlier than the wedding of comedian couple Kim Jun-ho and Kim Ji-min in July.
According to SBS on the same day, Lee Sang-min's wedding-related story will be revealed through SBS's "My Little Old Boy."
Meanwhile, Lee Sang-min married singer-turned-broadcaster Lee Hye-young in 2004 after an 8-year relationship, but they divorced the following year.
He debuted in 1994 as part of the mixed group Rula and transformed into a producer from the late 1990s, achieving success with acts like Shakra, S#ARP, and Country Kko Kko, becoming a top producer until the early 2000s.
However, he faced a crisis due to plagiarism controversies and transformed into a businessman, accumulating 6.9 billion won in debt, which he has been repaying since 2005. Last spring, he announced through various broadcasts that he had cleared all his debts, signaling a new start as the "icon of debt repayment." He is currently reported to be living in a luxury apartment in Yongsan with a monthly rent of 5.6 million won.
He is currently appearing on SBS's "Shoe Off, Dolsing For Men," "My Little Old Boy," JTBC's "Knowing Bros," MBN's "Altoran," and KBS Joy's "Man Running the Charts."
