Actress Sunwoo Yong-yeo showcased her lifestyle by revealing her Han River view home.
On the 29th, a video titled ‘First Look at 80-Year-Old Sunwoo Yong-yeo’s Han River View Home’ was uploaded on the YouTube channel ‘Sunny Wind Sunwoo Yong-yeo’.
In the video, Sunwoo Yong-yeo was seen starting her day with yoga in her spacious living room. She shared, “Since my stroke, I’ve been doing yoga and stretching more diligently.”
The most striking feature in the video was the Han River view from her home. The production team was amazed by the long stretch of the Han River view. Sunwoo Yong-yeo proudly stated, “There’s a low apartment in front, so the view is quite nice.”
She continued, “There are plans for redevelopment in front, and they say a road will be built. Even the real estate agent said our location is really good,” expressing her satisfaction.
In front of Sunwoo Yong-yeo's home is a large apartment complex, but there are low-rise buildings that allow a view of the city across the Han River.
That day, the production team was surprised to see a photo of Sunwoo Yong-yeo's daughter, asking, “Isn’t she a celebrity?” Sunwoo Yong-yeo proudly replied, “Yes, she’s Choi Yeon-je, a singer.” She then mentioned, “I told my daughter to go to medical school. But she said she would earn money and study herself. Now she’s a traditional medicine doctor,” drawing attention.
Earlier, in a video released on the 27th, Sunwoo Yong-yeo revealed her daily routine of driving a Mercedes to a hotel for breakfast buffet.
She commented on the Mercedes, saying, “It’s just my feet, so I invested a bit. It’s nothing special,” and when surprised by the fact that she really goes to hotel breakfasts, she said, “It’s true. When my husband was alive, I had to cook for the kids and him. Eating together was too expensive. But after my husband passed away and the kids got married, I thought, who should I live for? I should live for myself,” expressing her beliefs.
She explained, “Why do I like buffets? Because there are various foods. If I go to the market alone and buy several things, I end up throwing away what I don’t eat after one meal. Thinking about that, when I go to the market, I end up spending 70,000 to 80,000 won even if I don’t buy anything. So, if I add a little more, it can cover the breakfast cost, right?”
She added, “What’s the point of saving money for my body? Am I just going to carry around a pile of money? Some people buy clothes worth 7 to 8 million won or even 10 million won. But I can’t eat poorly. What goes into my mouth should be expensive and clean. It shouldn’t smell. And I should wear some perfume. Spray it on and go out. My body says, ‘Thank you for investing so much in me.’”
Sunwoo Yong-yeo debuted as a dancer in 1965 with TBC and began her broadcasting career with the TBC drama ‘Sanggung Nine’. She gained great popularity as a model for car and Miwon advertisements, but retired in her mid-20s after giving birth. After immigrating to the United States in 1982 and returning to Korea in 1989, she regained her peak through the SBS show ‘Sunny Wind Obstetrics and Gynecology’ in the late 1990s. Now in her 80s, Sunwoo Yong-yeo is actively participating in cameo roles in dramas and as a panelist on entertainment programs.
