'Opposition' 50,000 Tickets Sold, Ranking First... Marvel vs. Marvely Ticket Sales Battle [MK Box Office]

The movie 'Opposition' (directed by Hwang Byeong-guk) has maintained its position at the top of the box office, while Marvel and Marvely are in a close race for ticket sales.

According to the integrated computer network for movie ticket sales from the Korean Film Council on the 29th, 'Opposition' attracted over 58,000 viewers the previous day, bringing its total audience to approximately 1.76 million.

The film is a crime action story involving a broker in charge of designing the drug trade in South Korea, a prosecutor aiming for higher status, and a detective who is risking everything to eradicate drug crimes, all intertwined with different objectives. Directed by Hwang Byeong-guk, who also stars, the film features Kang Ha-neul, Yoo Hae-jin, Park Hae-joon, Ryu Kyung-soo, and Chae Won-bin. The break-even point is around 2.5 million.

'Minecraft Movie' maintained its second place. On the same day, it attracted over 17,000 viewers, bringing its total audience to approximately 398,000.

'Victory' (directed by Kim Hyung-joo) also remained in third place. It attracted 8,184 viewers, with a cumulative audience of approximately 2.11 million. It has surpassed its break-even point of 1.8 million and is enjoying long-term success.

Following that, 'Search and Seizure: The Beginning of Rebellion' took fourth place, while 'Attack on Titan: The Final Chapter - The Last Attack' secured fifth place.

As of 8:20 AM, the real-time ticket sales rankings are 'Holy Night: Demon Hunters' (over 104,000 tickets), 'Thunderbolts' (over 102,000 tickets), 'Opposition' (over 65,000 tickets), and 'Breakthrough' (over 63,000 tickets).
