The brother of the late Oyo Anna, a former MBC weathercaster, expressed his deep sorrow on his sister's birthday, saying, "I hope that all the perpetrators and bystanders acknowledge their wrongdoings and offer a genuine apology."

Oyo Anna's biological brother, Oh Chang-min, stated on his Instagram on the 30th, "The bullying my sister experienced was not just an unfair event that anyone might encounter in life, but a serious level of bullying that drove a person to death."

In this post, he wrote, "My sister made the choice to give up her life after enduring terrible suffering, yet some people are still casually delivering the weather and living their comfortable daily lives," adding, "It felt like secondary harm to see them living their lives as if nothing happened while my sister has disappeared from this world."

He continued, "I sincerely thank everyone who mourned my sister's death and prayed for her soul. Today, I prepared a small birthday table with the foods that Yoonna loved. It’s hard to believe that the sister I used to celebrate her birthday with every year is no longer here to receive my calls," expressing his grief as he reflected on the evidence on his sister's phone that seemed to indicate her final choice was not made impulsively.

Furthermore, he expressed, "The bereaved family hopes that the perpetrators and bystanders will acknowledge their wrongdoings and show true remorse and apology. I want to express my desire to clear the injustice so that my sister can rest peacefully in heaven," and earnestly requested continued attention to the matter.

Earlier, the late Anna's mother appeared as a witness at a hearing held by the National Assembly's Science, Technology, Information, Broadcasting and Communications Committee on the 18th, tearfully pleading for the truth regarding her daughter's workplace bullying allegations.

On that day, the late Anna's mother stated, "I do not want this to become a political issue. If the facts are revealed, I believe Anna can rest comfortably," and pointed out, "The initial use of the term 'collusion' by MBC caused great harm. Since then, MBC has not made an accurate apology."

Many officials, including the head of MBC's news department, the head of the weather team, and four weathercasters, who were selected as witnesses and references, did not attend the hearing. Park Mi-na, the head of MBC's management headquarters, who attended on behalf of the others, stated, "We conducted an investigation until early April and reported it at the board meeting on April 8," but added, "Since this is a sensitive matter currently in litigation and there is a risk of secondary harm, we believe it is not appropriate to disclose the results. We will consider how much we can disclose after legal review."

Oyo Anna passed away in September of last year, and her obituary was announced three months later. Subsequently, a 17-page suicide note was found on her phone, revealing that she had been bullied at work, which shocked many. The bereaved family has filed a civil lawsuit against one individual identified as the perpetrator at the Seoul Central District Court.
