
The group Seventeen has issued an apology regarding the incident that occurred during their concert and promised to prevent a recurrence.
On the 14th, Seventeen's agency Pledis Entertainment stated, “During the final segment of the ‘Seventeen World Tour [New_] in Incheon’ concert held on the 13th, some of the special effects fireworks unexpectedly fell towards the audience.”
They continued, “The effects were set up by a professional company before the performance, which established safety distances and directions and conducted repeated checks. However, we have determined that this situation occurred due to some defective products. We sincerely apologize to all the audience members who were startled or inconvenienced by this sudden incident.”
The agency also mentioned, “Two audience members who were confirmed to be affected on-site received immediate treatment at a temporary medical station in the concert hall before returning home. We will actively support the treatment procedures for those who were injured to ensure their swift recovery.”
They added, “To assess any additional damage and understand the specific circumstances, we will send a separate notification message to the audience members from that day’s performance. For the concert scheduled on the 14th, we will exclude the problematic products and conduct a more thorough safety check before proceeding with the special effects.”
In conclusion, they stated, “We sincerely apologize once again for the concern and inconvenience caused by this incident, and we will do our utmost to create a safer performance environment, prioritizing the safety of our audience.”
Seventeen is holding their ‘Seventeen World Tour [New_]’ concert in Incheon on the 13th and 14th. They will then perform at the Kai Tak Stadium in Hong Kong on the 27th and 28th.
