
Kakao has decided to halt the sale of Kakao Entertainment (hereinafter referred to as Kakao Entertainment).
On the 7th, Kakao announced through a disclosure to the Korea Exchange that "we discussed changes in the shareholder composition of Kakao Entertainment, but have decided to stop the review on this matter."
It also added, "We plan to continuously review various strategic measures to enhance Kakao Entertainment's global performance and business competitiveness."
Earlier in April, news emerged that Kakao was pushing for the sale of its content subsidiary Kakao Entertainment, which was valued at 11 trillion won, drawing significant attention. It is reported that Kakao had sent a letter expressing its intention to sell to major shareholders.
