
Singer Lim Young-woong has made a donation for sick children.
On the 2nd, the Korea Childhood Cancer Foundation announced that 2 million won from the 'Good Star' August King Competition prize was donated in the name of singer Lim Young-woong.
The donated funds will be used for hospitalization, surgery, and medication costs for children suffering from pediatric cancer, leukemia, and rare intractable diseases.
This sharing is the result of support from his fandom 'Hero Era' leading to donations through the Good Star platform. According to the foundation, the total accumulated donations made in Lim Young-woong's name, including this prize money, amounts to 110 million won.
So far, the sponsorship funds have been used for medical expenses such as surgeries, chemotherapy, and transplants, providing practical help to families of sick children facing economic difficulties.
Lim Young-woong released his second regular album 'IM HERO 2' on the 29th of last month. It has been over three years since his debut regular album 'IM HERO' in May 2022. He will embark on a nationwide tour starting in October.
