Middle-aged actor Lee Gi-young revealed that he lost 12kg during the presidential campaign.
On the 3rd, Lee Gi-young appeared as a guest on the live broadcast of the political talk show ‘Maebul Show’ and said, “Haven’t I lost a lot of weight since the last time I was here?” He added, “I traveled around the country, including the Seoul metropolitan area, participating in the campaign for candidate Lee Jae-myung.”
He mentioned, “I lost an additional 7kg compared to my last appearance,” and joked, “I lost a total of 12kg during the presidential election period. These days, I jokingly say that if you want to lose weight quickly, just go around campaigning.”
Previously, Lee Gi-young publicly supported Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party's presidential candidate. In his final speech on the 3rd, he exclaimed, “On December 3rd, you saved this country from Yeouido Plaza. That night, you revived Lee Jae-myung once again,” and urged, “Let’s allow candidate Lee Jae-myung to work freely based on the strength created in that plaza. Let’s fill the insufficient votes today with that strength and make Lee Jae-myung the most wonderful president who will be remembered in history.”
According to the National Election Commission, the final voter turnout for this presidential election was recorded at 79.4%. President Lee Jae-myung was elected with 17,287,513 votes (49.42% of the vote).
