As the longest-running entertainment program in Korea, ‘National Singing Contest’ is broadcasting its episode featuring ‘Asan City, Chungcheongnam-do’, where MC Nam Hee-seok's father, Nam Sung-woo, makes a surprise appearance, drawing attention.

KBS’s ‘National Singing Contest’ has been a beloved public participation audition program for 45 years, airing every Sunday without fail, and is considered the best entertainment program in the country. The upcoming 2119th episode, airing on the 8th, will feature ‘Asan City, Chungcheongnam-do’, where 15 teams that made it to the finals will showcase an energetic festival to beat the early summer heat on a special stage set up at Sinjeongho Lawn Square.

In addition, popular singers will gather for a special congratulatory performance, raising expectations. First, Hong Ji-yoon will showcase her vibrant stage presence, opening the show with ‘Bunnaeum’. Next, ‘Taekwondo Trott Warrior’ Na Tae-joo will elevate the atmosphere with a powerful performance of ‘Please See Me as a Man’, followed by the rising trot queen Kim Ji-hyun, who will get the audience moving with ‘I’m Also a Woman’. Furthermore, Papa Geum-pa will deliver a heartfelt rendition of ‘Letter to Parents’, and the reliable Park Sang-cheol will wrap up the show with ‘Samsugapsan’, promising a spectacular finale.

Most notably, on this day, ‘Son of Chungnam’ Nam Hee-seok, who hails from Boryeong, Chungcheongnam-do, will have a special guest joining him, which heightens interest. Nam Hee-seok's father, Nam Sung-woo, will make a surprise appearance in the audience. During the recording, Nam Sung-woo, resembling his son Nam Hee-seok, drew gasps from the audience with his similar looks and heated up the atmosphere with a lively dance performance, showcasing his remarkable presence.

As such, there is great anticipation for the broadcast of ‘National Singing Contest - Asan City, Chungcheongnam-do’, which will be filled with energetic performances from the local residents of Asan, exciting shows from popular singers, and a variety of unique attractions.
