Singer-songwriter Harim conveyed a message to President Lee Jae-myung, who was inaugurated as the 21st president.
On the 4th, Harim wrote on Instagram, "Just as I bravely faced the angry people while wearing shoes and climbing the mountain path long ago, I hope you continue to have the courage to work in front of everyone."
Along with this, he posted a photo of President Lee standing at the podium during the 50th anniversary memorial service for martyr Jeon Tae-il when he was the governor of Gyeonggi Province. At that time, Harim had a connection as he performed on stage at this event.
Harim added, "I hope you protect all those who work for their loved ones, and I wish that we can all sing together to end the era of hate and anger."
Harim, who has released songs containing messages about social issues, performed at a rally in Gwanghwamun, Seoul, last December, calling for the impeachment of former President Yoon Seok-youl.
Previously, he reflected on the 12.3 emergency martial law situation, saying, "It felt like a robber suddenly invaded my home," sharing a story about his uncle who was a victim of the May 18 Democratic Movement.
Additionally, on the 13th of last month, he revealed that he received a sudden cancellation notice for an event organized by a national agency, encouraging his friends by saying, "The more this happens, let's continue to sing about love, resistance, and freedom."
