‘Rising star broadcaster’ Dex has sparked attention by mentioning retirement (29).

On the 23rd, a video titled ‘Gian84 Art Hobby Group (Dex and Ji-yeon)’ was released on the YouTube channel ‘Life84’.

In this video, Dex was invited to a hiking group with actress Ji-yeon. The host, Gian84, suggested that after hiking, they should draw pictures in the style of a drawing competition, and the three happily accepted and shared various stories.

The three found a suitable place to draw and sat down. During this time, Ji-yeon first asked Dex about his recent situation, to which he replied, “My attitude towards work has changed compared to before. At one point, due to a drastically changed life, every day was painful. The most criticized moment was the shortest ‘burnout’ in history,” he laughed and added, “Now I’m working really hard.”

He mentioned a saying from Yoo Jae-suk. Dex said, “I resonate with Yoo Jae-suk’s saying, ‘You need to completely stop working.’ One day while sleeping, I suddenly thought, ‘I’m grateful just to have come this far.’ Isn’t that really something to be thankful for? Now I work with the mindset that it’s okay if I fail tomorrow,” he said.

He continued, “Even if I fail tomorrow, I have something to do. I will prepare to be a firefighter. I’ve set up a way to leave boldly, so this is not my whole life. That doesn’t mean I won’t work hard. I will give my all without regrets and leave without a trace of lingering attachment,” he explained. Gian84 responded, “Dex, who is cool and a bit cocky,” bringing laughter.

Meanwhile, Dex gained recognition through his appearance on ‘Fake Man 2’ and the 2021 MBC survival show ‘Game of Blood’, and rose to stardom with the 2022 Netflix show ‘Solo Hell 2’. He has also been active in MBC’s ‘Born to Travel the World’ (2023) and tvN’s ‘Sisters’ Direct Delivery’ (2024), expanding his presence by appearing in dramas.
