Choi Jun-hee, the daughter of the late Choi Jin-sil, confessed her painful experience of being a victim of dating violence in the past.
On the 19th, Choi Jun-hee posted on Instagram, “Do you think losing weight changes your life? Yes, it does. A lot,” along with before-and-after photos of her diet.
Choi Jun-hee stated, “My ex-boyfriend was a jerk who committed daily verbal abuse and dating violence, saying things like ‘Aren't you grateful that I'm dating you?’ and ‘Who would want to date you with that body?’ while swinging his hands,” and added, “A few months ago, he commented on my before-and-after diet video. I wonder what he wanted to say by mentioning his friend,” revealing her bitterness.
She continued, “After losing 55kg, my dating life changed. My perspective on people, their attitude towards me, and most importantly, I learned how to respect myself,” emphasizing, “This is not advocating for appearance-based standards, but rather a story of how taking care of my body helped me maintain my self-esteem.”
Choi Jun-hee also mentioned, “No one saved me. In the end, I had to save myself,” and explained, “I didn’t lose weight to get a boyfriend, but by learning to love myself while losing weight, I ended up having a healthy relationship. Dieting is not just about losing weight; it was a declaration that allowed me to live more authentically.”
She added, “The trash that called me ugly. The reason I met a Benz after a jerk,” and asked, “Hey, ex-boyfriend, are you watching? You who left me because I was fat and got caught cheating with another girl. Now, I’m prettier than that girl.”
Choi Jun-hee drew attention by revealing that she had gained weight up to 96kg due to battling lupus but lost about 55kg through dieting.
