BTS (Bangtan Sonyeondan) Jimin's side has revealed their position regarding the dating rumors with Song Da-eun.
On the 31st, Jimin's agency Big Hit Music stated, "We have refrained from making a statement out of respect for Jimin's privacy and the parties involved."
They continued, "However, due to various speculative reports surrounding the artist's private life and the spread of rumors that are not true, we are compelled to clarify at least the minimum facts," adding, "The artist had a past affection and connection with the other party, but that was years ago, and they are not currently in a relationship."
Additionally, they urged, "We ask that you refrain from indiscriminate speculation about their private lives," and "We sincerely request that you also refrain from actions that could harm the other party mentioned alongside the artist."
Recently, Song Da-eun stirred up a buzz by posting a video on the social media platform TikTok featuring Jimin. The video showed Song Da-eun waiting in front of an apartment elevator, and when the elevator doors opened, Jimin appeared.
Jimin responded, "Oh, you startled me. Did you know I was coming in? I came without saying anything on purpose," while smiling at Song Da-eun.
The video spread across social media and online communities, leading to dating rumors between the two. However, Jimin's agency Big Hit Music remained silent, and the rumors rapidly spread.
In June, Song Da-eun also made comments that seemed to reference a relationship with Jimin during a live broadcast on social media. At that time, she said, "I hope you all get what you deserve for everything you did to my family. Please be punished," and added, "Just because the idol you like loves me doesn't mean I deserve to be cursed at. I didn't even pursue him first," while crying.
She also hinted at revealing more, saying, "Please don't say anything to me. I'm really angry and I don't know what I might throw."
