Former announcer Kim So-young personally announced the closure of the Gwanggyo bookstore she has operated for six years.

On the 15th, Kim So-young shared on her social media, "The Gwanggyo store, which I have operated for over six years since 2019, will close its operations in August 2025 due to the expiration of the contract with the shopping mall."

She stated, "Starting the Gwanggyo store was the first time I took on something I thought was beyond my abilities, and I have experienced and learned a lot. Although I spent most of the time wearing a mask due to COVID, I was able to come this far thanks to the love of our customers."

Kim So-young particularly expressed, "There were many family customers at the Gwanggyo store. I often heard people say, 'It's nice to have a place like this in the neighborhood,' and I was also happy to come to Gwanggyo." She added, "We will continue operations until August 24, so if you come before then, I will say my final goodbyes."

Having joined MBC as an announcer in 2012 and continued her broadcasting activities, Kim So-young transformed into a businesswoman by opening a bookstore with her severance pay after leaving the company in 2017. She is currently running various businesses, including live commerce and a skincare brand.

Meanwhile, Kim So-young married broadcaster Oh Sang-jin, who is also a former announcer, in 2017, and they have a daughter named Sua.
