Actress Song Ha-yoon (38, Kim Mi-sun) has filed an additional complaint against A, who first spread allegations of school violence against her.
On the 18th, Song Ha-yoon's legal representative, the law firm Ji-eum, stated, "On the 22nd of last month, we filed another complaint against A for violating the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection (defamation) and obstruction of business by deception." They also added, "In addition to defamation, we have filed additional complaints for obstruction of business and intimidation."
A, who resides in the United States, is also expected to enter Korea soon to undergo police investigation. It is also reported that A plans to file a complaint against Song Ha-yoon for false accusation, indicating a fierce legal battle ahead.
Previously, A reported on JTBC's "Incident Manager" aired in April that they had been a victim of school violence by a celebrity during high school. It was later revealed that the celebrity in question was Song Ha-yoon, leading to controversy over school violence.
A claims that in 2004, when they were in the second year of high school, Song Ha-yoon, who was one year ahead, unilaterally assaulted them for about an hour and a half, resulting in Song Ha-yoon being forcibly transferred to another school.
In response, Song Ha-yoon's side stated on the 2nd of last month, "Proving that the allegations of school violence from over 20 years ago are false is extremely difficult, and we could not respond as actively as we would have liked." They added, "We have collected multiple pieces of evidence to prove that A's claims are false. Based on this, we have filed a criminal complaint." Song Ha-yoon's side has accused A of violating the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection (defamation) and obstruction of business by deception.
They also stated, "Song Ha-yoon has never committed any violence against A during her high school years, nor has she been forcibly transferred due to school violence. We have submitted public institution documents and notarized statements that reveal the falsity of these claims to the investigative authorities."
In response, A claimed, "Song Ha-yoon cannot have been transferred due to the fact that Banpo High School and Gujeong High School belong to the same school district, making a simple transfer due to a change in school district impossible." A further argued, "If it were not for school violence, a transfer between those schools could not have occurred. This supports the context that it was a forced transfer due to school violence, not a voluntary transfer."
A also emphasized, "I have never spread false information or fabricated or distorted anything," and added, "I believe that Song Ha-yoon's side is attempting to cover up past issues and is instead launching a counterattack against me, which raises the possibility of false accusations. I plan to review this legally in the future and am in contact with a law firm in Korea."
Additionally, regarding Song Ha-yoon's claim that "due to A's failure to respond to the investigative authorities' summons without justifiable reasons, a 'designated notification disposition' was issued against A in May, and A was registered on the police's wanted list," A stated, "I have already submitted sufficient written statements and supporting documents, and I am in contact with the police and have cooperated sincerely with the investigation."
A also refuted, "There is no reason to force attendance at great cost and time, and there is no legal basis to compel the attendance of someone residing abroad. Furthermore, the part of some media reports stating that 'A was registered on the police's wanted list due to the designated notification disposition' is also not true."
