On this day, Yumeki took the stage, drawing the attention of the participants. This was because Yumeki had previously appeared on the variety show ‘Street Man Fighter’ as a member of One Million.
When Kingkey asked, “You are a dancer who is very active, what made you apply for ‘Boys Planet’?” Yumeki replied, “I have not been able to perform on a stage as the main character while working as a dancer. I applied because I want to someday perform on a stage where I am the main character.”
Before taking the stage, Yumeki expressed, “I had a lot of worries, but I want to show my best self without regrets by letting go of everything I’ve done and taking on this challenge.”
Yumeki chose Rain’s ‘Rainism’ for the performance. While the dance was perfect, Yumeki’s singing fell short, leading Lim Hanbyeol to comment, “Putting dance aside, as a vocal master, Yumeki’s vocals are, by my standards, at a novice level. I think Yumeki’s strong weapon of dance creates a disparity with the vocals, making it a double-edged sword.”
Yumeki received a 1 Star rating. In response, Yumeki said, “Honestly, my pride was really hurt. I was angry thinking, ‘I didn’t realize my skills were this lacking.’ I felt that I really couldn’t stay like this.”
Following this, signal song training took place. After group training, when it was time for a rank check, Yumeki showcased impressive dance skills that caught attention. Kani exclaimed, “Yumeki nailed it.”
As the day of the signal song test approached, Yumeki received positive reactions from participants with significantly improved singing skills compared to the rank determination round.
Yumeki received an All-Star rating. The masters highly evaluated the results of consistent practice. Lim Hanbyeol praised, “I think the improvement in vocal skills was the most significant among the participants. They were at a level where they couldn’t sing at all.”
