Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates emphasized his plan to donate 99% of his entire fortune to society.

On the 27th, Bill Gates, co-founder of Microsoft and chairman of the Gates Foundation, appeared as a guest on tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block'.

On that day, Bill Gates spoke about his announcement in May to donate 280 trillion won, which is 99% of his entire fortune, saying, "I was really lucky. The company's shares have gained significant value. I have no intention of using that money for myself. I don't believe in my children taking over the family business. I think they should earn money on their own and find their own path. So I decided that what remains for me should be returned to society."

He continued, "I spent a long time thinking about 'What meaningful impact can this money have?' I started asking questions like 'Why do children die?' and 'Are we coping well?' But it turned out not to be the case. I became focused on that."

Meanwhile, 'You Quiz on the Block' airs every Wednesday at 8:45 PM.
