Today marks the 4th anniversary of the passing of Jay Yoon (real name Yoon Jae-woong) from the band MC the Max.

Jay Yoon was found dead at his home in May 2021, at the age of 39.

At that time, the agency stated, “The sudden news has left all members of MC the Max and the staff of 325 Entertainment in great sorrow as we mourn the deceased,” and added, “Please pray for the deceased to rest in peace.”

The remains of the deceased have been laid to rest in the United States where his family resides.

Jay Yoon debuted in the music industry in 2000 as a member of the band Moonchild and formed a new band, MC the Max, with members Lee Soo and Jeon Min-hyuk in 2002, gaining immense popularity.

Jay Yoon played the bass, cello, and violin in the band and released several hit songs such as ‘Goodbye for a While’, ‘Don’t Be Happy’, and ‘The Poem of Love’.

In particular, Jay Yoon released the commemorative album ‘Ceremonia’ for his 20th debut anniversary just two months before his passing, which saddened fans even more.
