CEO of a clothing and cosmetics company, Park Hyun-sun, revealed the behind-the-scenes of her marriage to actor-turned-husband Lee Philip.
On the 4th, a video titled "A True Working Mom CEO Park Hyun-sun's Luxury Home First Reveal (Maximum List)" was uploaded on the YouTube channel 'Attention-seeking Sister'.
In the video, Park Hyun-sun stated, "I met my husband at 34 and got married at 37." When asked how she met her husband Lee Philip, she revealed, "Philip asked someone he knew to introduce us."
When asked if she fell in love at first sight, Park Hyun-sun replied, "I have a lot of caution. Contrary to my appearance, I have a studious style. So I was a bit scared, but when I met him, he was just like a neighborhood oppa, very easygoing. He said he thought he would marry me when he first saw me."
Park Hyun-sun also shared the behind-the-scenes story of their much-talked-about proposal.
She said, "I received the proposal in the U.S. with the whole family. My in-laws are all in the U.S. I went to the U.S. because he wanted to show me his family, and it was really a big family. There are four siblings, with an older sister and two younger sisters. So I have three sisters-in-law. The eldest sister has four kids, and the second sister also has four kids. Their homes are all gathered in that neighborhood."
She continued, "I had never been married before, and I was going to meet them, so it was bound to be a burden, but every evening, everyone gathered for a party. I think my mother-in-law was watching to see if I could survive in this group. I like that kind of thing. I even went to New York to hang out with my sisters-in-law. They were gossiping about my husband, saying things like 'What's so hard?' and 'Tell me everything, sister.'
Additionally, Park Hyun-sun explained, "The day before we returned to Korea, we all took a big car together for dinner at the hotel. When we arrived at the hotel, as soon as the door opened, there were flowers everywhere, and the atmosphere was strange. Suddenly, the kids came in holding flowers and handed them to me, and my sisters and brothers-in-law took turns giving me flowers. Then my in-laws also gave me flowers, and finally, my brother came and knelt down, presenting the ring and proposing."
Regarding her decision to marry, Park Hyun-sun expressed, "Before the proposal, I saw my husband playing well with my nieces and nephews like a dad, and even now, he takes care of about 80% of the parenting," showing her affection for her husband.
She added, "When my husband asks the kids, 'Who do you like more, mom or dad?' they always say dad," and continued, "My husband always says not to try to do something well, but to spend a lot of time together. I feel sorry, so I play with them wholeheartedly. Even though I do that well, the kids still say dad, so it seems like spending time with dad is something that can't be helped."
Former ballerina and shopping mall CEO Park Hyun-sun married actor-turned-businessman Lee Philip, known as the second generation of a chaebol, in 2020. The couple has a son and a daughter.
Lee Philip is known for his appearances in dramas such as 'The Legend' and 'Secret Garden'. He is said to be the son of Lee Soo-dong, the chairman of the global IT company STG.
