Kim Min-seok of the group Melomance has apologized for participating in a voting related to sexual harassment of girl groups.
His agency, Abyss Company, stated on the afternoon of the 3rd, “(Kim Min-seok) realized he had clicked the wrong option and canceled it. We apologize for causing concern.”
It is reported that Kim Min-seok also directly clarified the issue during an interview related to the musical 'Werther' held on the same day.
Previously, Kim Min-seok was embroiled in a sexual harassment controversy after voting on a video related to girl groups on a social media account. The video mentioned the bodies of girl group members, and the account is known to have posted such content. Actor Kim Sung-cheol also participated in the voting and apologized after the controversy arose.
Kim Sung-cheol's side stated, “We did not know it was a controversial account, and we canceled immediately after realizing it. Since it was content targeting other artists, it seems that there are those who were harmed by it. We feel sorry for them and have conveyed our apologies to both through our agency.”
He added, “In the future, we will be more cautious to avoid repeating the same mistake.”
