The group New Jeans, which declared its separation from Ador, is showing signs of a fresh start by opening a new SNS account.
On the 14th, New Jeans created an account named 'Jeanzforfree'. On this day, the members greeted fans with a post stating that they had made advance payments at some restaurants in Yeouido for citizens gathered at the impeachment rally of President Yoon Suk-yeol.
The members said, “We missed (the fans). We will meet here often,” and added, “Isn’t it very cold in Korea right now? We prepared this so you can have warm meals. Please take care of yourselves and eat well.”
They continued, “We see that many idol fans are working hard together, and we hope this can be of some help, so we prepared this. Please take care of yourselves and let’s stay strong together,” referring to the impeachment rally.
Through the account, New Jeans announced that they had made advance payments for 110 servings of kimbap, 100 bowls of samgyetang, 50 bowls each of onban and mandu-guk, and 100 drinks at a kimbap restaurant near Yeouido.
Afterward, New Jeans hinted at a new beginning with the word 'Start'.
New Jeans is currently in a contract dispute with their agency Ador. They are calling for the termination of their exclusive contract, but Ador claims it is still valid and has even filed a confirmation lawsuit.
On the 7th, New Jeans actively participated in the entertainment scene by appearing as guests at the concert of Japanese singer Yoasobi in Korea. During the performance, they refrained from mentioning the name 'New Jeans', showing caution regarding the trademark dispute with Ador.
