Actors Lee Byung-hun and Kim Go-eun received the Best Actor award at the Busan Film Awards. The Best Film award went to 'Jangson'.

The film 'Jangson' won the Best Film award at the 33rd Busan Film Awards ceremony held on the 18th at the Signiel Grand Ballroom in Busan. 'Jangson' is a thoughtful family film that questions and reflects on the meaning and issues of family in our time through hidden secrets and lies spanning three generations of a large family regarding the survival of the family and its business.

Director Oh Jung-min of 'Jangson' said, "I think this is the most honorable award I have received since I was born," and added, "It is even more meaningful because it is recognized by the actors and staff, and I dedicate this award to them."

The Best Actor award went to Lee Byung-hun for 'Victory' and Kim Go-eun for 'The Law of Love in Big Cities'.

Lee Byung-hun from 'Victory' stated, "I would like to share this honor with the staff and all the actors I worked with. I thought the subject of Go was boring and too static, but once you get into it, it is more brutal and fierce than any war. And there is drama. So I think many people compare their lives to Go."

He continued, "I have a deep connection with the Busan Film Awards. Two years ago, I received my third Best Actor award for 'Concrete Utopia', and if you receive the Best Actor award three times, you get a gold one. I was very happy to finish the awards ceremony then. Today is the fourth time," and jokingly added, "No, I will be satisfied with this."

Kim Go-eun from 'The Law of Love in Big Cities' expressed, "I am extremely happy. Looking back on 'The Law of Love in Big Cities', it is a film with many good memories of working hard day by day with the staff, actors, and director. It is very meaningful to receive an award for that film," and added, "I am really disappointed that I couldn't attend due to personal circumstances. Thank you for the great award. I will continue to be an actor who works hard in the future."

The Rookie Award was given to Choi Hyun-jin for 'When Summer Passes' and 'Victory'. Notably, Hyeri stated, "I will work hard to become an actor who makes a mark in the Korean film industry," drawing attention with her bold determination.

Lee Joon-hyuk and Hyeri received the Star of the Year trophy. Lee Joon-hyuk from the film 'Firefighter' said, "I felt very awkward when I received this award last year, but after nearly two years of support, it truly resonates with me, and I am grateful. My friends are all married and don't hang out much, but they give me awards and support, so I will think of this award as something precious given by a friend."

On this day, Hyeri, who received the Best New Actress award, also won the Popularity Award, making her a double winner. Hyeri expressed, "I am so excited," and added, "I will work hard to maintain this popularity and become a more active actress."
