Top stars Jung Woo-sung, Jang Dong-gun, and Lee Byung-hun, the three flower middle-aged men, appeared in Busan.

On the afternoon of the 18th, at the Signiel Busan in Haeundae-gu, Busan, the 34th Busan Film Awards handprinting event took place, where the red carpet was brightly lit not only by the beautiful actresses in their dresses but also by the tall suit fits of these flower middle-aged actors.

On this day, Jung Woo-sung stood in front of the press for the first time in a year since the 'extramarital child' scandal. As last year's winner of the Best Actor award, he made an appearance for this year's handprint event and to present awards in the same category. His noticeably thinner appearance caught attention, but he confidently participated in the festival for filmmakers.

Jang Dong-gun won the Yoo Hyun-mok Film Arts Award for the movie 'Ordinary Family'.

He said, "It's nice to see you all in person after a long time. At this moment, I feel that this is not just a personal achievement of actor Jang Dong-gun, but a moment to reflect on the path that Korean cinema has taken and to reconnect with that legacy. This award carries the name Yoo Hyun-mok," adding, "This year marks the 100th anniversary of his birth. He was someone who showed through his work that a film can be a mirror of society."

He continued, "I realized anew while filming 'Ordinary Family' that being an actor is about exploring the essence of humanity. I hope the audience can feel the deep contemplation that was more profound than ever. I consider this award as encouragement for that contemplation, and I will accept it with gratitude, even though it feels heavy."

Lee Byung-hun won the Best Actor trophy for the movie 'Victory'. He said, "When I heard the subject of 'Go', I thought it would be boring, but it was not at all. It is a war more intense and desperate than any other war," and added, "I will share this honor with all the staff and colleagues who worked with me."

He also starred in the opening film of this year's Busan International Film Festival, 'It Can't Be Helped' (directed by Park Chan-wook), and served as the sole host of the opening ceremony.

The Busan Film Awards is the first film award in Korea, established in 1958. It was suspended in 1973 but has continued its legacy for 18 years since its revival in 2008.
