SM Entertainment (hereinafter referred to as SM) is launching a new variety show featuring next-generation boy group trainees in collaboration with the production company Egg is Coming.
The time-slip growth variety show 'Reply High School', co-produced by SM and Egg is Coming, will feature a total of 15 participants, including some members of SMTR25 and undisclosed trainees. The cast includes Nicholas, Katcho, Justin, Hyun-jun, U-rin, Han-bi, Song-ha, Kachin, Sadaharu, Tata, Daniel, Haruta, Ha-min, Charlie, and Jae-won.
The program is set in a fictional school where trainees enroll to find the answers to their debut, being assigned to classes with concepts from the 90s, 2000s, and 2010s, and sharing lessons and life together. Through this, they will experience the emotions and culture of each era while documenting their growth as artists.
In particular, SMTR25 is a multinational trainee team that was first revealed during the tribute stage for SM's 30th anniversary at 'SMTOWN LIVE 2025' held in Seoul last January. Since then, they have made their presence known by performing on global 'SMTOWN LIVE' stages in Mexico City, LA, London, and Tokyo, and have also been recognized as the next-generation representatives of K-POP in the SBS special 'K-POP The Beginning: SMTOWN 30'.
The show is directed by PD Shin Hyo-jung and writer Kim Dae-joo, who successfully produced tvN's 'Nana Minbak' and 'Nana Tour'. The production team stated, "We will show the process of trainees growing as they traverse the past and present of K-Culture in a dense manner."
'Reply High School' is scheduled to air in the first half of 2026 on global platforms.
