‘Everything Everywhere All at Once’ will be featured as the February film at CGV through CCIN.
On the 14th, CGV announced that it has selected the film ‘Everything Everywhere All at Once’ as the February film for ‘Scene (CCIN).’
Previously, in October of last year, CGV launched a new audience-driven curation service called ‘CCIN (Contents Curation IN CGV)’ to propose a new viewing culture. As a CGV official taste curator known as ‘Scene Teller (CCIN’s Teller),’ individuals can recommend films to be screened in theaters and suggest ways to enjoy them, among other activities related to CCIN. Last year, actors Lee Je-hoon, Jeon So-ni, and singer-songwriter Ha Hyun-sang participated as Scene Tellers.
In February, Joo Hyun, the CEO of Waterhole Company, which first introduced ‘Everything Everywhere All at Once’ in Korea, will participate as a Scene Teller.
The recommended film by the Scene Teller, ‘Everything Everywhere All at Once,’ depicts the journey of Evelyn, who immigrated to America and struggled to run a laundromat, as she borrows abilities from thousands of multiverses to save her family and the world in crisis. It won a total of seven awards, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Actress, at the 95th Academy Awards.
From the 21st to the 25th, it will be available in over 20 theaters, including CGV Gangnam, Gangbyeon, Gwangju Terminal, Daegu Academy, Daejeon, Daehakro, Myeongdong, Sangbong, Seomyeon, Sinchon Artreon, Yeouido, Ori, Wangsimni, Yongsan I-Park Mall, Ulsan Samsan, Uijeongbu, Incheon, Ilsan, Cheonan Pentaport, and Hongdae.
On the 26th and 27th, it will also be screened in IMAX at CGV Yongsan I-Park Mall, Wangsimni, and Yeongdeungpo. Additionally, a talk event featuring Joo Hyun, CEO of Waterhole Company, and reporter Lee Eun-sun, focusing on the keyword ‘curation,’ will take place on the 21st at CGV Yongsan I-Park Mall.
To enhance the enjoyment of ‘Everything Everywhere All at Once,’ an open chat room will host the ‘One Kind Diary Challenge a Day.’ This challenge encourages participants to share one act of kindness discovered in their daily lives in the chat room, inspired by the protagonist's survival strategy of kindness.
CCIN viewers will receive exclusive CCIN merchandise, including keychains and photo cards, and more details can be found on the event page of the CGV mobile app.
Kang Mi-soo, head of marketing at CJ CGV, stated, “We are delighted to present ‘Everything Everywhere All at Once,’ which won seven awards at the Academy Awards, as the February film for CCIN. Through the curation service CCIN, which suggests films that audiences want to see again and ways to enjoy them, we will continue to create opportunities for movie fans to communicate in diverse ways.”
