Min-young, a member of the group BbuBgirl, directly addressed the rumors of discord with former member Yoo-jung.
On the 16th, a video titled ‘Brave Girls Discord? Yoo-jung's Departure and the Restructuring into a Trio, Answering Rumors and Speculations’ was posted on the channel ‘One Mic’.
In this video, Min-young caught attention by providing honest answers regarding sensitive issues such as rumors of discord within the group and Yoo-jung's departure.
BbuBgirl changed their name from Brave Girls and moved to a new agency to start fresh activities in 2023. However, the following year, member Yoo-jung left the team, and they are currently restructured as a trio.
Regarding the rumors of discord with Yoo-jung, Min-young stated, “The three of us (excluding Yoo-jung) went on a trip to Bohol around the time Yoo-jung was leaving. Some people misunderstood that, but at that time, we were somewhat settled among ourselves.”
However, he mentioned that they could not speak about it externally. He explained, “The trip had been planned a month in advance, and during that time, Yoo-jung's departure was decided, so it ended up being just the three of us.”
He also confessed that he felt sad about Yoo-jung's sudden departure. Min-young said, “I was surprised when Yoo-jung suddenly expressed her intention to leave the team. I thought, ‘We have no problems, right?’ but after ten years together, each of us must have had our own thoughts,” adding, “In the end, all the members respected Yoo-jung's decision and decided to support her.”
Additionally, regarding the future of BbuBgirl, he stated, “We are a group that the public has given another chance. I believe it is more important to meet expectations rather than just achieving something,” and expressed his ambition, saying, “No matter what adversity we face, I want us to be a long-lasting team.”
