Actress Park Joo-hyun has won the Best Newcomer Award at the Blue Dragon Film Awards.
On the evening of the 29th at 8:30 PM, Park Joo-hyun became the recipient of the Best Newcomer Award at the 45th Blue Dragon Film Awards ceremony held at KBS Hall in Yeouido, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul.
Receiving the Best Newcomer Award for her film "Drive," Park Joo-hyun showed signs of nervousness, saying, “I didn’t expect this. Oh my, what should I do?”
She stated, “This is the first film where I met the audience as a lead. It was a burden when I chose 'Drive.' I wondered if I could carry it well. I was concerned about whether I would be sufficient, but many seniors and colleagues supported me, allowing me to make the choice. I was extremely burdened until the release, but I am grateful for this great award.”
Park Joo-hyun added, “I am thankful to the director. I am thankful to my family. I will do my best to become a better actress.”
Following Kim Hye-soo, who stepped down from her role as host last year, this year’s Blue Dragon Film Awards were hosted by actors Lee Je-hoon and Han Ji-min. The nominees for the Best Picture category included 'Veteran 2,' 'Spring in Seoul,' 'Burial,' 'Fast Lives,' and 'Handsome Guys.'
