On the 20th, at the 106th National Sports Festival held at the Busan Asiad Main Stadium, Namadi Joel Jin secured first place in the men's general category 200m final with a time of 20.70 seconds.
The day before, Namadi Joel Jin had won the men's general category 100m with a time of 10.35 seconds, achieving a remarkable feat of winning both the 100m and 200m in his first year as a professional athlete.
After winning the 100m, Namadi Joel Jin expressed his gratitude on his Instagram, saying, "I would like to thank everyone who helped and supported me to win my first gold medal at the National Sports Festival."
Namadi Joel Jin appeared as a child actor in the popular drama 'Descendants of the Sun', which aired in 2016, playing a boy living in the fictional region of Urk.
When he received a pair of shoes as a gift, he gained the nickname 'Goat Boy' after saying, "I want a goat instead of these (shoes)."
