The accuser of personal life rumors about actor Lee Ik-kyung has issued a rebuttal stating, "I am not a scammer."
On the 20th, the poster of the exposé, referred to as A, wrote on their blog, "Suddenly, there were claims that I asked for money. This is the first time I’m hearing this. I did ask once if they could give me money. There was a money issue, and I couldn't ask my parents for money, so I inquired about it."
They continued, "I have never received money, and it was such an uncomfortable situation that I have not asked again since then," adding, "The post I made yesterday was not to ask for money, but to prevent other women from being victimized."
Regarding their awkward phrasing, they explained, "I have been self-studying Korean for 8 years and have never studied through books or classes. I am not a scammer; I am a real German," and stated, "I hope you do not touch on my private life or anything else. I did not expect this matter to escalate like this."
Previously, a revealing post titled "I will expose the true self of Lee Ik-kyung" was published on an online community.
The author of the post, A, claimed that the person they chatted with, saved as 'Lee Ik-kyung,' was indeed Lee Ik-kyung, and shared screenshots of their KakaoTalk and DM conversations.
In response, Lee Ik-kyung's agency, Sangyoung ENT, strongly refuted the claims through their official account, stating, "We are preparing legal action regarding the dissemination and distribution of false information and malicious rumors that have been circulating recently on online communities and social media."
They added, "Given the seriousness of this matter, we will assess the scale of direct and indirect damages caused by the dissemination of false information and take all necessary measures."
According to the agency, A had sent a threatening email regarding this matter about five months ago, demanding money. It was reported that A had apologized at that time in response to the agency's warning of legal action.
