The Lee Min-woo family encountered a crisis during their trip.

On the afternoon of the 18th, KBS2's 'Salrimnam Season 2' (hereafter 'Salrimnam') featured the Lee Min-woo family on their first trip to Yeongju, Gyeongbuk.

During the broadcast, Min-woo's dad surprised everyone by confessing, "My eldest brother was born in the year I got married. We also had a shotgun wedding."

When Ami asked when their wedding anniversary was, Min-woo's dad hesitated, saying, "It's October 67. No, December," to which Min-woo's mom expressed her frustration, saying, "How can you forget? I was about to do my bridal makeup when I collapsed right before entering. I splashed water on my face and barely managed to take a photo. We don't even have a family photo," feeling upset.

She then added, "Don't even talk about the past. If I stay quiet, I might at least get a meal, but why did you have to guarantee and put me in this situation?" reminiscing about her painful past.

Lee Min-woo shared, "The beauty salon was 4 pyeong, and the room was 3 pyeong. My mother ran the beauty salon, and my father had a business, but he faced some hardships. When I was in elementary school, we had red stickers on our door twice. My mom cried and begged for help. I felt I had to protect her," explaining how he became the breadwinner at a young age.

Min-woo's dad, feeling upset, stood up, and Ami apologized, saying, "I'm sorry, Mom," feeling guilty for the atmosphere. Min-woo remarked, "It felt like my dad's pent-up feelings burst out, which is unusual for him. I was surprised too," and followed his dad outside.

Earlier, Park Seo-jin's family left the dad, who had knee pain, to rest at the hotel while they continued their trip in Hong Kong. While eating, Hyo-jung enjoyed her food so much that Seo-jin said, "Stop eating. You're like a pig," trying to intervene.

However, Hyo-jung ignored Seo-jin's words and stuffed her mouth with food, ultimately bursting the cheongsam she had just bought, which brought laughter.

Afterward, Seo-jin and her dad headed to the city alone. The dad explained, "I decided to buy a gift because I worried Mom too much," revealing the reason for their trip to the city.

Upon arriving at the jade market, the two decided to buy a jade ring for Mom. The dad confidently stated, "I can tell the size just by holding your hand," as he carefully examined the rings. Seo-jin recalled, "On the day of my first concert, the boat had a hole, and my parents' boat sank. After the red sticker incident, our family's situation worsened. Since then, they sold the wedding ring and couldn't get it resized until things improved. That ring was so precious that they kept it in the boat, but it sank. Even though we lost the boat and the ring, I'm just grateful that both of them are alive," explaining why they chose to buy the ring.

While Mom was enjoying the night view with Hyo-jung, she asked, "Where's Dad? Is the photo the problem? Dad's knee is the issue," urging to go find him. However, Seo-jin said, "I'll go get coffee. Hyo-jung, let's go," intentionally leaving Mom behind.

While Mom was watching the night view alone, Dad said, "Yumi~ Let's do something for the rest of our lives. Let's propose," gazing at her intently. When Mom asked why he was proposing, Dad replied, "Because I love you!" leaving a romantic remark.

He continued, "I'll kneel and propose. Thank you for raising our kids well and living with me," as he slipped a ring onto his wife's hand. He even sang a serenade and put a jade necklace around her neck, confessing, "If I am born again in this world, will you marry me again?" Mom responded, "What is all this? I understand," and hugged her husband tightly.

Seo-jin's mom shared, "I've never received a proposal like that in 32 years of marriage, and it was so nice. He thanked me for marrying him and enduring hardships together. We both went through the same struggles. We are soulmates. If we marry again, you should find someone better than me," revealing her true feelings in an interview. In response, Seo-jin's dad confessed, "I like you, my dear," expressing his straightforward feelings.

Seo-jin, who was secretly watching from behind, smiled and thought, "Isn't my younger sibling watching from Hong Kong?"

Seo-jin's dad said, "Seo-jin, you are a good child. You've traveled to Hong Kong and Macau for seventy years, and I'm proud and grateful," while Seo-jin's mom expressed, "I was so happy. This will be the most memorable moment. Thank you so much. Mom and Dad's wish has come true," conveying her gratitude towards Seo-jin in an interview.

‘Salrimnam’ airs every Saturday at 10:45 PM.
