A man in his 30s who appeared on SBS PLUS and ENA’s ‘I Am Solo’ has been sent to prosecutors for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend.
The Hwaseong Dongtan Police Station announced on the 27th that they sent a man in his 30s, referred to as A, to prosecutors without detention on the 15th for the charge of assault causing injury against his girlfriend.
A is accused of assaulting B, a woman in her 30s, by choking her and pulling her hair at her family home in Suncheon, Jeollanam-do, around 5 PM on March 11, 2023.
B reportedly received a diagnosis of two weeks of injury due to sprains and other injuries from the incident.
Additionally, A is also accused of assaulting B by choking her at a lodging facility in Hwaseong on April 6 of last year around 6 PM.
A, who previously appeared on ‘I Am Solo’, is said to have met B through an open chat room.
According to B, A had created the open chat room to communicate with viewers.
B claims that after starting a relationship with A through communication in that chat room, she filed a complaint against him with the police due to repeated instances of assault.
A police official stated, “The charges have been substantiated and the case has been forwarded to the prosecutors,” adding, “It is difficult to disclose further details of the investigation.”
‘I Am Solo’ is a dating reality program that began airing in July 2021, featuring single men and women who are desperately seeking love.
However, issues regarding the verification of cast members have arisen due to allegations against some participants.
