Kang Woo-hyun, who revived Nami Island, a site of the 'Winter Sonata' filming and a mecca of the Korean Wave, reveals his shocking statement of "my salary is 100 won" along with his unique management philosophy.
The first episode of EBS's 'Seo Jang-hoon's Neighbor Millionaire' (hereafter 'Neighbor Millionaire'), hosted by Seo Jang-hoon and newcomer Jang Ye-won, will air on the 17th.
Seo Jang-hoon introduced the main character of the first episode, Kang Woo-hyun, saying, "Usually, we visit the homes of millionaires, but today we are going to a country instead."
Kang Woo-hyun is the person who built the 'Republic of 30,000 Pyeong' over a decade in the barren land of Jeju, essentially creating a massive virtual nation-themed park. He is also famous for transforming Nami Island into a world-class tourist destination.

In 2001, he took over Nami Island, which was left with 6 billion won in debt, and transformed it into a global attraction visited by 3.3 million people from 122 countries. Annual revenue skyrocketed by 40 times, and the effects of 'Winter Sonata' filming continue to attract foreign tourists.
However, when asked about the secret to Nami Island's success, Kang Woo-hyun surprised everyone by confessing, "My salary was 100 won." He recalled, "After a year, I went to the bank and saw it had increased to 1,200 won."
The reaction of MC Seo Jang-hoon on-site also drew attention. He laughed, saying, "I am very worldly. I can't survive without incentives," and expressed curiosity about Kang Woo-hyun's performance bonuses, claiming to be an 'Incentive Maniac'.
Kang Woo-hyun, a top designer of the 20th century who designed famous CIs like 'Thumbs Up Bank' and 'Gwachon Land', has received unimaginable incentives. What could they be? And what is the unexpected reason Seo Jang-hoon became a self-proclaimed 'Incentive Maniac'? All stories will be revealed in the first broadcast of 'Neighbor Millionaire'.
