Hollywood actor Bruce Willis (70) is currently battling frontotemporal dementia (FTD), and his wife Emma Heming Willis (46) has shared an update on his condition.

In an interview aired on ABC News' 'Good Morning America' on the 26th (local time), Emma stated, "Bruce is still able to move freely and his overall health is good," but added, "However, his brain is gradually losing function."

She continued, "His language is slowly disappearing, but our family is adapting by finding new ways to communicate with him."

Emma described how her husband, who was always lively and affectionate, became increasingly quiet before his diagnosis, and his presence in family gatherings diminished. She expressed that it was shocking to see someone who was always warm suddenly become indifferent and cold.

The frontotemporal dementia that Bruce Willis is suffering from is caused by the atrophy of the frontal and temporal lobes, with symptoms such as sudden personality or behavioral changes being prominent.

Problems in the temporal lobe, which is responsible for language, can lead to reduced speech and difficulties in responding with multiple words or long sentences.

Bruce Willis gained worldwide fame for his role as John McClane in the 1988 film 'Die Hard' and has delivered powerful performances in various works such as 'Pulp Fiction', 'Armageddon', and 'The Sixth Sense', winning Golden Globe and Emmy Awards.

He married actress Demi Moore in 1987 and had three daughters, but they divorced in 2000. He then remarried Emma Heming in 2009 and had two daughters.

It has been reported that not only his current wife Emma Heming Willis but also his ex-wife Demi Moore and their three daughters are involved in caring for Bruce Willis.
