Actor Park Hyung-sik has addressed the reports claiming he received 400 million won per episode for the drama 'Twelve'.
His agency, Rev Entertainment, stated on the 17th, "The reports regarding Park Hyung-sik's appearance fee that have been exposed through the media are not true," and added, "It is being established as a fact that is different from reality, so we are providing an official statement."
The day before, Dispatch reported that Park Hyung-sik received 400 million won per episode for the recently concluded KBS2 weekend drama 'Twelve', totaling 3.2 billion won for 8 episodes.
Previously, there were also rumors of him receiving 500 million won per episode for JTBC's 'Dr. Slump', which Park Hyung-sik also corrected as being untrue.
He added, "Park Hyung-sik approaches every project he takes on with sincerity," and expressed gratitude for the warm attention towards his future activities.
'Twelve', in which Park Hyung-sik starred, tells the story of 12 angels living in human form to protect humans from evil spirits, with Park Hyung-sik playing the role of the evil force 'Ogui'.
Starting with a rating of 8.1% (based on Nielsen Korea nationwide) for its first episode, 'Twelve' ended with a rating of 2.4% for its eighth episode. The production cost of 'Twelve' is reported to be around 22 to 23 billion won, and after its conclusion, the high appearance fees of the actors have come under scrutiny.
