Comedian Ahn Young-mi shared her feelings about returning to the comedy stage.
On the afternoon of the 1st, a press conference for the ‘13th Busan International Comedy Festival’ (hereafter ‘Bukope’) was held at the Stanford Hotel Korea in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul. The event was attended by Executive Chairman Kim Jun-ho, Deputy Executive Chairman Choi Dae-woong, Chief Programmer Hwang Deok-chang, Programmer Jo Yoon-ho, and comedians participating in ‘Bukope’.
Ahn Young-mi will present her show ‘Ahn Young-mi Show: All Ages (Soom) Show’. This will be her first time on a comedy stage after giving birth.
Ahn Young-mi said, “I really wanted to do this. I wanted to try a 19+ show. This has been a dream of mine since before I got married.” She continued, “Back then, there were many taboos and I was too scared to challenge myself, but after giving birth and raising my child, I thought, why was I so afraid? There are many people who are waiting for and enjoying 19+ jokes more than I expected. I thought, why not break through this? After having a child, I gained the courage to do it.”
She also joked, “Many people are curious about my husband’s whereabouts, so I plan to share various relationship stories. I can’t reveal where my husband is, but I can talk about our sexual relations.”
Ahn Young-mi added, “I named the title poorly, and many people misunderstand that it’s just about breast dancing. I wrote this to share the stories that have been in my heart that I couldn’t talk about before. I hope there are no misunderstandings. I will approach the topic of pleasant sexual stories in a comfortable and humorous way.”
‘Bukope’ will take place from the 29th to September 7th, with performances held at various locations in Busan, including the Busan Bexco Auditorium, Shinsegae Centum City Cultural Hall, KT&G Sangsangmadang Busan Live Hall, and Busan Citizens Hall Small Theater.
