PD Choi Byeong-gil has once again refuted the debt issue that arose during his marriage to broadcaster Seo Yu-ri.
On the 3rd, PD Choi shared the shareholder list of Rona Universe, in which he and Seo Yu-ri hold a 50:50 share, on his social media.
Along with this, PD Choi wrote, "This is the latest shareholder list I have," and added, "Did the vice president say you have no shares? That person says all sorts of things when they get angry. I have repeatedly mentioned how tired I am of this. And I have never used the corporate card to buy even a single drink for myself from a company that is full of deficits."
He continued, "And you keep bringing up shares, but let's say for a moment that I didn't have any shares. What would that mean for you? You were supposed to get all the money you invested back anyway, right? I have seen the damage from the company going bankrupt, but you have managed to keep your personal apartment, blame your husband as a fraud, and protect your image. What have you actually lost?"
He added, "Even now, I am in the middle of work, but you are ruining my image again, making it clear that my work will not succeed. The more this happens, the further away the day of you repaying your debts becomes. Look back at who has worsened every situation, whether it be business or marriage. I didn't want to speak in a way that shifts responsibility this much, but it is clear that you are ruining your own fate."
PD Choi and Seo Yu-ri got married in 2019 but faced a breakup in March of last year after five years. The two have been engaged in a war of revelations over financial conflicts during the divorce process.
On the 1st, PD Choi stated through his social media, "I want to correct the misunderstandings that have arisen," claiming that the debts he owes were not for personal use but were incurred in the 'Rona Universe' business, which he and Seo Yu-ri own 50:50.
He continued, "Although the shares were split evenly, I ended up taking full responsibility for the business debts. As a result, my house in Yeouido was sold at a low price, and my house in Yongsan went to auction."
In response, Seo Yu-ri said, "Have you forgotten about the Rona Universe? I had no shares, and the vice president, Choi X-ho, clearly stated that he had no shares. There is also a recording of that," and countered, "You claim it’s business debt, but isn’t it mostly the debt from studying abroad in the U.S., loans from the second financial sector for the Yeouido house, and the cost of buying a Ferrari?"
She warned, "If you continue to assert false facts, I will have no choice but to reveal decisive evidence to the public."
