When a subscriber asked, "Which is better to choose, good looks or a compatible personality?" Go So-young started by saying, "I used to talk about this all the time."
She recounted, "I told a younger acquaintance, 'What does looks matter? Just someone who truly loves you and listens well, that's what makes a woman happy.' But she replied, 'Unnie, you don't have the right to say that, do you?'" emphasizing, "I really didn't marry just for looks," which made everyone laugh.

Go So-young married Jang Dong-gun in 2010 and they welcomed a son in 2010 and a daughter in 2014.
