Singer Lee Jung (real name Lee Jung-hee, 45) revealed the reason for getting tattoos all over his body in the past and stated that it currently restricts his broadcasting activities.

Lee Jung recently appeared on the YouTube channel 'Tattoo Removal Teacher Young-soo' and confessed about the reasons he started getting tattoos, his difficult feelings, and his desire to remove them now.

Lee Jung started getting his first tattoo after the death of his close friend Seo Jae-ho in 2004, saying, "Ten years ago, I felt a great sense of doubt about my activities in the entertainment industry and was mentally and physically exhausted."

He said, "I completely stopped my activities and moved to Jeju Island, and from then on, I started getting tattoos one by one. Looking back now, it seems foolish, but I thought, 'If I have visible tattoos, I can't broadcast.' So, I started getting more tattoos to avoid broadcasting."

However, he now wants to remove the tattoos. Lee Jung expressed, "It's not that I regret the tattoos or dislike them, or that it's too hard to have them," but added, "I want to erase the bad memories from that time as well."

He also explained, "The genre I am working in as a singer (Cheonrokdam) is different from what I used to do. Since it's trot, I want to go on stage looking neat and organized. That's why I made a big decision."

Doctor Young-soo asked, "Have you ever felt discomfort or restrictions in broadcasting or performances because of the tattoos?" and Lee Jung replied, "Yes. (Tattoos) make it impossible to broadcast, so I have to wear sleeves every time. I do all my performances like that."

He added, "I don't think I can continue like this, so I think it's time to make a big decision."
