Actress Lee Bo-young visited Mozambique in Africa to bring hope to children.
The Korean Committee for UNICEF (Chairman Jeong Gap-young) announced on the 8th, "We visited Mozambique with Lee Bo-young, who is active as a goodwill ambassador."
This visit took place from the 3rd to the 8th in the Niassa Province in northeastern Mozambique as part of the fundraising broadcast 'Project Blue.'
'Project Blue' is a series of fundraising broadcasts organized by the Korean Committee for UNICEF and JTBC, aimed at highlighting the situations of children around the world suffering from climate crises, conflicts, and diseases.
Among three celebrities visiting Africa and developing countries in Asia to meet local children, Lee Bo-young directly confronted the realities of children struggling for survival due to climate crises and child labor.
Under the title 'Lee Bo-young's Hope Song,' she expressed her heartfelt feelings towards the children of Mozambique who are nurturing their dreams amidst lives devastated by recurring cyclones and endless poverty.
Lee Bo-young, who has been connected with UNICEF as a card guardian since 2008, was appointed as a goodwill ambassador for the Korean Committee for UNICEF in 2012. Since then, she has also visited the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Bangladesh to represent the voices of children in distress around the world.
'Lee Bo-young's Hope Song' will be broadcast on JTBC on the morning of the 21st.
