Kim Soo-min, who is known as the 'youngest announcer,' announced that she has been accepted into a US law school and has received a full scholarship.
On the 30th, Kim Soo-min shared on her Instagram, “The results of the UCLA Law School full scholarship interview that took place recently have come out,” and added, “I received a scholarship that will cover most of my tuition, amounting to $50,000 (approximately 71 million KRW).”
Kim Soo-min expressed her surprise, saying, “I don’t know how such an opportunity came to me, a foreigner with no study abroad experience. I think it’s thanks to those who prayed for me. Or perhaps it’s encouragement for my perseverance. Or maybe it’s the luck that my kids brought to cheer me on.”
She continued, “I never even imagined receiving a school scholarship, so I am even happier than when I heard the acceptance news,” and added, “I will be starting this summer after publishing my new book in May. I will do well in my master’s program for a year. I am grateful to everyone who encouraged me.”
Earlier this year, Kim Soo-min announced her acceptance into UCLA Law School.
Kim Soo-min joined SBS as the youngest announcer and left after about three years. In 2022, she announced her marriage to a prosecutor who is five years older than her. She has a son and a daughter.
