Singer and broadcaster Lee Sang-min (51) is starting a new family 20 years after his divorce.

According to an SBS official on the 30th, Lee Sang-min is remarrying a younger non-celebrity partner. Details will be revealed on the entertainment program ‘My Little Old Boy’ airing on May 11.

According to the broadcasting industry, Lee Sang-min has been in a good relationship with his partner until recently and has been carefully preparing for marriage after promising to tie the knot. It is reported that the wedding is planned for around early summer, which is earlier than the wedding of comedian couple Kim Jun-ho and Kim Ji-min scheduled for July.

An SBS official stated, “There has been no discussion regarding Lee Sang-min’s participation in ‘Dolsing Four Men’ and ‘My Little Old Boy’,” but since these are programs featuring singles, it seems likely that Lee Sang-min's departure is a natural progression.

Lee Sang-min married actress and painter Lee Hye-young in 2004 but divorced the following year. With the announcement of his remarriage today, he is starting a new family 20 years after his divorce.

Lee Sang-min debuted in 1994 as part of the mixed group Rula and transformed into a producer in the late 1990s, achieving success with acts like Shakra, S#ARP, and Country Kko Kko, becoming a top producer in the early 2000s.

However, he faced repeated failures afterward and attempted to reinvent himself as a businessman, but in November 2005, he incurred a debt of 6.98 billion won due to bankruptcy. After that, he faced various controversies for operating gambling sites and facilitating illegal loans for 6-7 years, but made a spectacular comeback in 2012 as a music deity and is currently active as an MC and entertainer on various TV programs.
