Lee Min-jae shared his thoughts on ‘Weak Hero 2’ reaching global No. 1.
On the afternoon of the 30th, a screening and press conference for the movie ‘Boy in the Pool’ was held at CGV Yongsan I-Park Mall in Seoul. Director Ryu Yeon-soo, along with actors Hyo-woo, Lee Min-jae, Lee Ye-won, and Yang Hee-won attended.
Lee Min-jae played the role of Ko Hyun-tak in the Netflix series ‘Weak Hero 2’. According to Netflix's Tudum TOP 10, ‘Weak Hero 2’ recorded 6.1 million views within three days of its release, ranking first in the global TOP 10 series (non-English) category.
In response, Lee Min-jae shyly said, “I feel a bit awkward saying this, but it’s such a thankful result. We filmed it really intensely and passionately. So it seems like it happened naturally.”
Regarding his role as a swimmer in ‘Boy in the Pool’, Lee Min-jae confessed, “I really tried to look like a swimmer. The roles I’ve played so far have shown intense sides, but I had to express the opposite, and I think the director captured my personal side when I was comfortable and alone.”
‘Boy in the Pool’ is a coming-of-age story about the meeting and secrets of a girl named Seok-young, who loves swimming, and a boy named Woo-joo, who has webbed feet. It will be released on May 14.
