Kim Min-seok of the group Melomance was absent from the musical 'Werther' today (7th).
On the 7th, the production company CJ ENM announced through their official SNS before the performance, “Due to health reasons, we regret to inform you that the casting for the role of Werther has been changed to Yang Yo-seob,” indicating that Kim Min-seok's role has been reassigned.
Kim Min-seok also stated on Instagram, “I have become unwell and am unable to speak. I was very surprised when I woke up this morning. I won’t be able to perform in today’s Werther show. I will recover quickly and do my best to stand on stage with a smiling face.”
He added, “(Yang) Yo-seob will take my place and create a wonderful stage. I am very grateful to Yo-seob. I apologize once again and thank you always. I hope everyone stays healthy and has a great day.”
Recently, Kim Min-seok was embroiled in controversy over participating in a 'SNS Girl Group Sexual Harassment Vote.' The video mentioned the bodies of girl group members, and the account was known for posting such content.
In response, his agency, Abyss Company, apologized on the 3rd, stating, “(Kim Min-seok) minimized it after realizing he had made a mistake. We apologize for causing concern.”
